About Vaught Law Firm

Austin Divorce & Family Law

The Vaught Law Firm practices exclusively in family law to provide clients with quality guidance from experienced divorce and family law attorneys.

At our Austin law office, we help men and women in a variety of family law matters, including uncontested and contested divorce, collaborative divorce, child custody and visitation, modifications of existing orders, enforcement of existing orders, prenuptial agreements, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeals.

Our Approach

Our attorneys — Jimmy Vaught, Erin Leake, and Jillian French — are committed to protecting our clients’ rights while pursuing creative and positive solutions to difficult legal disputes. As experienced family law attorneys, spouses and parents, they understand resolving disputes proactively and amicably when possible is beneficial to the long-term interests of clients and their families.

Rather than unnecessarily inflaming already tense matters, they work to find solutions. Utilizing negotiation, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) measures, they have helped many clients protect their financial and parental rights while avoiding the time, stress and cost of protracted litigation. When matters are not resolved by agreement, we have the experience necessary to vigorously protect our clients’ rights and interests at trial.

At the Vaught Law Firm, we work together as a team to represent our clients. Our attorneys and our staff work together to provide you with superior service. We consider communication between our client and our legal staff to be vital to a case. You will never call our office and speak with someone who doesn’t know your case, and all calls are promptly returned.

Our Clients

Our clients come to us with unique and difficult issues. We take the time to understand each of them individually and treat them all with care and compassion.

Our clients know we have the experience necessary to handle cases involving complex property division issues like closely held businesses, trusts and intellectual property; contingent assets like stock options and real estate; and characterization issues of separate, community and mixed assets.

We have handled many cases involving custody and support issues, including parents with unusual schedules, varying self-employment income and children with special needs. With many decades of combined legal experience, our attorneys can be relied upon by clients to provide the sound advice and effective representation they require.
